I heard somewhere that the kaos war armour would evolve with the character, so i want to put forward what i would like to see.
Every 20 levels there are sets of armour that are available for everyone at the lowest level (level 1 for 1-20, level 21 for 21-40 etc.) There will be around 5-10 different armours. Each one has different advantages and disadvantages. The general armours (all rades have an equivalent) The big beefer High defense limits movement, will slow you down (will stop deva and algar flying and just slow down humans) The biter Low defense spikes which hurt the attacker medium weight The imperial Medium Defense Medium weight The Fickle Low Defense Low weight (better movement) Specialized armours (unique armour types for each race) The Octo (for humans) Low defense Allows extra weapon and quick movement equivalent of wings for deva and algar (it looks like the doctor octo thing but on armour)and i cant be bothered to think of any more... And please remember these are examples of stats, they are probably unbalanced so no complaints about that Armour growth and armour customization Throughout the life of the armour every 5 levels or so it is upgraded, and upon upgrading you will be allowed to customize the armour. say for the first upgrade of an armour you can change the colour and add spikes. For the second, it would be at level 10 (is the 1-20 armour) you could actually add something useful, like extra inventory but you can only choose one. And for the third you could have more visual options. And for the 4th, level 20 so you can buy a new armour now basically, it could be further inventory expansion. And then onto the next set. Armour progression Say the highest level was 200, when past the 120 mark the next set could be 30 levels away (but still with 5 level customization) and 150 and on could just be one set to the max. Also there could be some really good rare armours which could emerge but are hard to get. For example. Your sitting high at 100, but a level 20 armour, after its at 40 there are no further upgrades except until 100, and is an amazing armour, or maybe a specialized armour, whoch could have really high prices. Or it could be a really good magic suit or mining suit. The end Well thats what i'd like, what do you think |

Sounds great but people want diversity. Most people hate looking the same way. So, if this were to be the way they did armor they would need something to mix it up a bit so everyone didn't look exactly the same.

true would be cool to be able to re invent your character every five levels. Would make something to look forward too and would make for diversity liek you said

Mmm every1 wud look different and it would always give you incentive to get to the next level. I hate games when its like a 10 level gap between to armours and the levels take ages to get, you just get bored.

Exactly, when a game makes you go forever just to get something it bores the hell out of me. I'm a person that loves instant gratification lol.

Well, the kind of concerns presented here show the games have made us used to pointless goals.
The Next Gen game will probably be when loot and levels aren't our main concern... I hope the armor is split by material and craftsmanship... Some sets here and there, but I hope the game isn't made around those sets... No matter how fast, when a game is about loot - to me - it's too boring... Rising Force Online and Cabal Online... suck. World of Clonecraft is getting close. Guild Wars, on the other hand, the time you spend looking for loot isn't to get the "best set". The best raw equipment is gotten early. What you fight for is perfect upgrades for your strategy, and most of all, have fun in beating challenges. THe ultimate loot in Guild Wars is all about visual aspect. Honestly i think alot of mmo gamers are interested in how good they look while they are laying foes to waste , i think u could really just add a tinting and engraving shop or have a blacksmith that would detail your armor using color ,emblem's ,engravings ,coat of arms ect wider array of these things available would make the option of looking different alot easier to obtain. However if your looking for an automatic armor change like a morphing affect should be based on stats and use of whatever skills u employ wich is pretty much the way they explained your character's look would change i believe ,at any rate i think there is some fantastic ideas in these forums good work people!
