I never signed an NDA, things were not that organized at the time I and many of the original team left. But I'm not going to say anything else because it has all been said in this thread by others.

edit: NDA were likely implemented shortly after some of the original team started leaving, quite possible that some of them signed one since the lawyer came in to the picture right about the same time frame. So when I say I didn't sign one, that was just me as far as I know.

Did no one find it odd that during the 'reality show', the teamspeak members (or was it vent we used, so long ago I don't remember lol) where never properly introduced, even though we spent every waking moment in there? We were literally under pressure to always be logged in, whether or not any work was taking place. Those where all billable hours as far as I'm concerned...

Hey bud, thanks for the kind words. I remember how great all these guys were, it is a shame we don't still keep in touch. I remember sending Damon rent money once, money that I worked hard for at my full time day job. Never did get it back... I only sent it because at that point some other members had moved in with him and I didn't want to see it all fall apart. Anyhow, that is enough out of me. i just remembered this project today and wondered what was new, only to find this great thread on the forums.

edit: lol, I just noticed that I've been demoted to 'member' instead of dev team.. wonder how long ago that happened...

Damon loved his son and talked about him a lot in the beginning. No need to go down that road.

Just came across this thread today. Honestly, I haven't even thought about Kaos War in ages, but for whatever reason, it's been in the back of my head these past 2-3 days.

While I wasn't on the "original" team, I was on with them. In fact, if I remember right, I was on a few months before Jon left. The point is, I can only really speak to the bits I was there, and not to anything after I left, or before I got there. Also, since Nully already said the majority of what really went down, I'm only gonna say what's on my mind, and what I remember, during the time I was there.

And really, there's not much to say now that I sit down, and try and remember that year or so I wasted there. It's really a big fat joke. I never signed any NDA, although Damon and his lawyer were climbing up my ass to do so. I didn't sign it, cause I didn't like the idea that they would have the rights to every idea I had while *Cough* employed *cough* there. That kinda thing just is NOT in any NDA I've seen before or since.

Also, when I just stopped going in, (never quit per se) was because Damon got furious with me over the fact I got PAY freelance work. I could understand him getting upset if he was paying me, but I didn't see a dime the entire time I was there. And at that point, I had had enough of the "Damon show" Um, "reality show", the fact he wouldn't listen to anyone unless they were outside of the project, the "never attain glory!" speaches he gave on a daily basis, the constant interruptions of work with links to Asian porn, his dismissive attitude to every idea anyone else had, until someone else said it was a good idea, the myriad of unprofessional, and just plain annoying/childish things he did. Basically just the whole Damon thing got old. And the thing that drove me nuts the most, the constant promises of money just around the corner, only to get screwed up by someone else at the last minute.

So yeah, I'm not surprised Damon hasn't come here to say anything to you guys who were looking forward to this game.

I feel for the other dev's on the team. The only one I HAD an issue with was Damon. I emphasize, "had" because he's basically a non-issue to me now. The rest of you guys kicked ass on a major level. Working with a great group of people for that time was almost worth not getting paid for over year. I wish you all the best luck in the world in whatever it is you're doing now.

Guess that's basically all I have to say for now. If you read all that, you're a freakin saint

[EDIT] Sorry, I mixed up Nully, and invaderik in this post. Invaderik said a lot of what actually happened. Nully said the truth, I just confused the names. Sorry.

I never said he didn't love his son.

At the end of the day he was the one who alienated his wife/son for this project. Facts are facts.

All I'm saying is that it's a bit crooked to put your family aside for a project that has no back-up plan, no funding and no real development schedule.
